A pharmacist's wife has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease with little blood flow to the brain, and it's a 'life-changing event'.
Pharmacist Tamara Cottages said she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's with little blood flow to the brain in one month's time, but was now worried about whether her life would be worth the stress.
She said: "The symptoms were debilitating, and I was scared that my life would not be worth it.
"I asked the pharmacist if it was okay to take some Viagra, and they said 'no, it's okay'.
"I'm so embarrassed now, but I want to get back to where I was.
"I'm so scared, and I'm not going tootonin the pain."
Tamara added: "It is so upsetting, but it is also very comforting."
"It has been an amazing journey, and I've really had the joy of living my life. The pain is so great," she said.
Cottages, which were set up in the early 2000s, have been left to deteriorate over time.
However, they now contain the medicine Viagra, which is effective only for one month, and which is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

The new research, published in the journal Science Translational Medicine, shows that when a person is treated with Viagra, the blood flow to the brain increases, and that leads to a decrease in the amount of oxygen in the blood, which triggers the process of the immune system to kill it.
The drugs have been used to treat erectile dysfunction for some time, but the blood flow in the brain was reduced when they were removed in early clinical trials.
Researchers said the effects were more pronounced when the blood flow in the brain was reduced, and that the blood vessels in the brain were less sensitive to the effects of Viagra.
"This is the first time we have found that Viagra is working for the brain, and it is very encouraging," said Professor Mark Horshults, lead author on the study.
Dr Horshults said: "These results provide important evidence that the effects of Viagra are indeed due to the blood vessels in the brain, which are the most sensitive to the effects of the drug on the brain."
Professor Robert Gorman, from the University of Bristol, said: "These changes are thought to be related to the effects of Viagra, but we are not aware of any studies that have been carried out in animals to test how effective the drug is in treating Alzheimer's."
Professor Horshults said that in some clinical trials of Viagra, the drugs had been found to be safe and effective for most people.
"There have been no studies that have been carried out to investigate the impact of Viagra on the brain, and these drugs have been used in a number of clinical trials for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease," he said.
Professor Horshults said: "These findings are very encouraging, and we are just looking forward to further research on these drugs and other medicines for the treatment of this condition.
